GA-AS, MQ-9A BLOCK 5 DRONE MATERIALS TO US MENA MADE

The General Atomic Aviation Systems (GA-AS) provided a new MQ-9A Reaped Unwewed Airplane System (UAS) to the US Marine Posts (USMC).
MQ-9A BLOCK 5 Expanded December (ER) Model will be under the sea operational test and evaluation fleet deployed at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma.
The USMC will use MQ-9A UAS for operational test and evaluation.
It will also help to develop sea aviation tactics, techniques and procedures through experiment.
This is part of the wider integration of MQ-9A into the Naval Air Ground Mission Force and emphasizes the Operational Framework of Marine Pies.
David Alexander, President of GA-ASI, said: “Marine Posts are improving their abilities with this new plane.
“We are excited to see what VMX-1 is doing in terms of operational test to prepare for new talents to the area.”
MQ-9A Er can be strengthened in the area with additional fuel capsules on the wings and a reinforced landing set.
These enhancements allow the aircraft to overcome 30 hours of durability and increase the operational versatility.
UAS is equipped to provide permanent, long durability supervision with full -moving video and synthetic diaphragm radar/moving target indicator/sea mode radar features.
Designed to comply with and overcome the reliability standards of the crew aircraft, the MQ-9A Er, a error-resistant flight control system and a triple redundant Avionic system architecture.
In 2023, the GA-ASI launched a series of training exercises (SLTE) 2-23 at a number of service levels to further support the USMC.
This initiative included the company’s MQ-9A UAS, Joint Forces and the US Naval Airlines Task Force Training Command.
GA-AS has completed 18 MQ-9A UAS to the USMC to date and with the expectations of offering two more planes by the end of this year.
Last year, the company delivered the first MQ-9A ER to the Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Training Fleet 2 (VMUT-2). Hand in hand was part of the Unmanned Expedition of the Naval Air Dinner Mission Force (MUX) program.
This program had ordered an order for eight mq-9a er UAS under the Ares indefinite distribution/uncertain thing (ID/IQ) contract.
